Opened in 1953, Lamar Country Club is a nine hole par 35 golf course with different teeing areas for the front nine and back nine. The greens were originally built as sand greens and their shape and slopes have been maintained through the years.  LCC has watered Bermuda fairways and Bent grass greens. Fairways are generous with some internal hazards. You’ll try to avoid several lakes, creeks, and sand bunkers on your way to a challenging round of golf.

A good short game is a must as most greens slope dramatically from back to front and are on the small side compared to today’s PGA greens. LCC is complete with two par threes that are considered to be among the toughest in the four states area. Our par 3 number 5 just may be the toughest in all the four states.
The LMGA host many activities at LCC. Thursday evening is reserved for Men’s Night with the course closed to women after 2:00 P.M.  Non-members are allowed if accompanied by a member. Male children are allowed if accompanied by their father.
Our Ladies Association meets on Tuesdays usually enjoying a day of bridge and or golf with the course open to men after 12:00 P.M.  The Ladies Association organizes various Ladies Day activities contact the Club House to see how to get involved.
